Erica Cerra was born in Toronto, Canada on 31 October 1979. The most well-known character she has played is as her role as deputy Jo Lupo from the Syfy show Eureka. Cerra was born in Vancouver British Columbia of Italian descent. At the age of eight she fell in love with acting, and was featured in numerous television commercials. In the beginning, she paused her acting, but returned to it in 2001, at the age of 22. Cerra was ranked among Vancouver's top five actresses of the future by Vancouver Lifestyles Magazine in 2005.
