Elizabeth Reaser has a career as an American film, television and stage actor. Her most notable role is The Twilight Saga (film), Greys Anatomy (series) as well as True Detective. She played Cleopatra in the Netflix Roman Empire's 2nd season. She also appeared on the film Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales, which is a classic in the cult genre. Jessica was selected by a global search to play the leading role on The Outpost. The producers were given a video of her performance in MMA and also a short clip of her performing. The producers asked her to submit an MMA video of her swordfighting. That day after, Jessica sent it. After studying the script, Jessica was aware that the character would require weapons training as well as a first lesson by a professional. Jonathan Glassner says that her stunt team were surprised with her performance in the initial lesson. The previous movies she has appeared in were all located in Australia. In the film, The Outpost was her first major film in America. The character is based on Jessica's love of action, with her mix disciplines of horse riding, martial arts as well as weaponry skills and athletic ability that allows her to pull off her tricks and truly portray the powerful female character. Jessica trained in mixed combat, boxing and muay Thai at an Australian gym. Jake Stormoen, shooting Season 4 of the show, met a stray puppy which was spotted on the sets. The stray dogs had occupied the set. Jessica took care of both puppies.
